Perhaps if the Bush administration had treated them as POWs, then we would not be in this situation of having them afforded the rights of a civilian trial.
POW's are held until the end of a war with NO trial as to their guilt. I don't recall hearing of 425,000 court hearings in the U.S. during WW2.
