    Snails n slugs

So, i HAD a little seedling, working on its second set of leaves, about a week old and today i saw that the stem had been chewed clean through at the base and the plant was just laying on the dirt.

Now, i can assume one of the two(slugs, snails) was the culprit as i found both there this morning.

Now my question is: is there anything i can do to save it or should i germ some more and get over it (it was really cute )? I stuck it back in the soil and gave it some water, is it wishful thinking for it to root again? Thanks guys
