Sunshine mix - where on the East Coast can it be found?

Take a small handfull of Pro Mix and put it in a beer cup and fill the cup allmost to the top with water. Stick a PPM pen in the cup and let it sit over night. The PPM will be somewhere around 1100 PPM. That is way to much for clones. I find that they will burn and be very slow to take off. Every time I have told someone this that use Pro Mix they have come back to me and told me that I have solved alot of problems for them.

Allmost every person I have talk to have had problems with the HP. I told them about the PPM and they too told me I have solved so many problems for them. For the PPM in the Sunshine Mix #4 im not sure but i think its about 300-400 PPM.

Stink have you heard of this issue and what is Sunshine #4 anyone know were I can P/U some of that?

You should find Sunshine mix 4 at any nursery or green house, it's $20 a bale, and is a mixture of peat, perlite, and vermiculite. Watch your pH close to the end of your grow because as it degrades it gets a little acidic, water it with a little soap in the solution so you don't end up with dry pockets. Or check out Coco which has neither of these problems.

Coco gets dry pockets too and should never be allowed to totally dry, because it becomes hydrophobic- an automatic drip system is safest.

I've never heard of that problem, but I've also never cloned into soilless (I tried coco once but wasn't happy with my results and discovered my Clonex was no good anyway, lol). I use rapidrooters for cloning, with dip-n-grow.

I'm cloned out STINK this is not for cloning please change the name if you get a chance. It is for straight grow from clones I don't no were to find sunshine #4 mix on the East Coast. For that matter just a good soil with less problems or high levels like they claim the Pro Mix contains. I've try ed LOWE'S H/D Wall Mart By me has a SHIT any other suggestions. I can not call the local nursery and have them drop a few yards,,, LOL

Maybe Pro Mix Fixed there shit considering Tranobles thread is from 2005 I just donot want to chance it....

I do not want to regret killing the beauty's but for the record WH was so right Root Bound 100 percent the hydrotone was like soil holding onto the roots.....

Never heard of it but on the East Coast you should be able to find an Agway (except that you are urban?). They have a generic peat-lime-vermi mix that I'm trying out for the first time now. I don't have an EC meter but it's worth looking into.

How much are you paying? I pay 3.99 for a brick of coco and it expands to more that 50L. Plus they are easy to move and store.

Hey I see how strong you are on the COCO. I just experimented and it cost me over 20,000 probably. I don't want to play with any new shit. I'm going back to the basics cause it is summer,hot,humidity and a lot of variables + new things pop up when you try new products.

I just want to blow out a good good crop.

My beds will be 4x12 I figure 3 bails tops I ordered 4 hoping I will only need 2 and I will get 2 grows out of it. Check it out read up on it. It is good for leaching and for plants that have salt build ups as well as drainage...
