ahh well my 2p in....
u could also use envirolights as you can get closer too the plant and lose less lumen's (tho hps still give out more than enviro's)
there cheap too run aswell as they like a giant energy saver also cooler as i can hold mine while its been on for 18 hrs and not get burned ! try that with hps

lol @ gl 1200 plants in a sea of green under 2, 48" florescent lights total 80 watts
