Johnson resigns from team vetting Obama veep

WASHINGTON - Jim Johnson, a manager of Democrat Barack Obama's vice presidential search team, resigned Wednesday amid criticism over his personal loan deals.

"Jim did not want to distract in any way from the very important task of gathering information about my vice presidential nominee, so he has made a decision to step aside that I accept," Obama said in a statement. "We have a very good selection process under way, and I am confident that it will produce a number of highly qualified candidates for me to choose from in the weeks ahead. I remain grateful to Jim for his service and his efforts in this process."

Has he ever thought of coming out and stating, "Hey, I didn't realize this person was an asshole....he's OUT OF HERE!!". Wouldn't that type of statement bring more respect from us little people?

That doesn't only go for Obama but the rest of the Washington elite as well!

Johnson was supposed to vet Obama's VP candidates, but he wasn't well vetted himself. Obama needs a better vetter vetter.

At least it didn't end up like Bush's VP search where Cheney picked HIMSELF! "Georgie boy, I've looked at all the options and I'm pretty sure I've found the best choice for your Vice President --- it's ME!"
