What kind ov CFL????
My plants are gowinfg outdoors but the light there is insufficient so Im gonna buy CFL. I was wondering which one is better, the yellowish or the white one??? Also Im probably going to buy philips equivalent to 150w I think it was 25w energy saving. Do u think thats enough for two plantz.

"Blue on black
Tears on a river
Push on a shove and it don't mean much...
Joker on Jack
Match on a Fire
Cold on Ice as a dead man's touch
Whisper on a scream
Doesn't Change a thing.."
The light of CFLs when compared to ambient outdoor light isn't going to be worth the trouble of supplementing it, and the presence of a light outdoors is suspicious in and of itself. Why can't you put your plants somewhere sunnier, or bend shrubbery out of the way to break the shade? This is why it is important to consider the placement of outdoor plants before they are set in the ground.
You want the BLUEST light you can find for veg, and redder light for flowering your 'plantz'.

What kind ov CFL????
There is only 4-5 hours of direct sunlight on my balcony. Im going to mix the lights. The plants are not in the soil they are in pots. Do u think one CFL which represents the 150w normal lamp will do??

Not even close. You need the largest 'daylight' CFLs you can find, and many of them. If you are in a country that has stiff penalties for cultivation, I would recommend against supplemental lighting outdoors, as it is very obvious and visible.

Its visible right njow. its dark and im glowing my plants with an 18w sylvania. It doesnt help me at all, but theyll start flowering otherwise. Do you think Its a bad idea the plants to be on sunlight for 4-5 hours and then on other lamps(under 150w cfl tomorrow) I think that with one bulb Ill get some results, ewhy dont you agree??

I think you should built a cabinet inside. There are a lot of people doing it with ample research.

Hahah i assume that the joke with the fireflies is about the 18w but Ive seen many posts with ppl growing only with 150w cfl and it looked good!. Anyway with both sylvania and the cfl it should be kind of... good, shouldnt it?

What kind ov CFL????
my plants have been outside and after 5 hours of direct sunlight I have been putting them in the shade as some of the leaves on the end were getting burned. I have been scouting around my yard to find a place that only gets morning sun. My plants seem to like only 4or 5 hours of direct sun.
But please dont listen to me as this is my first grow and I know nothing about growing. and If anybody has any suggestions for me,, please do tell
