Ron Paul Speaking somewhere else During Convention.
Who are you referring to? His campaign was grass roots funded by normal people. He had more support from soldiers than any other candidate.one of his major backers by the way. Seems slimy to me but hey.......
He has said, and I'm not going to dig the video up, that his personal opinion on the subject is pro-life, however he would make it a state issue and he wouldn't influence one way or the other.Other issues:
-Abortion....he's completely right to life and his record shows that. Agreed, McCain is in the same boat but at least he doesn't evade the question...that isn't a big confirmation for McCain either! I personally believe in a womans right to choose.
There are of course circumstances that require abortion (says Ron Paul as well) people will call me old fashioned but I believe that you don't mess with nature, you mentioned that it is a womanâ??s right to choose, of course the unborn child should just accept that
All of those excuses, except the valid ones, are really just people that donâ??t want responsibility, but this belongs in another thread.â?˘ 25.5% Want to postpone childbearing
â?˘ 21.3% Cannot afford a baby
â?˘ 14.1% Has relationship problem or partner does not want pregnancy
â?˘ 12.2% Too young (sometimes valid); parent(s) or other(s) object to pregnancy
â?˘ 10.8% Having a child will disrupt education or job
â?˘ 7.9% Want no (more) children
â?˘ 3.3% Risk to foetal health (valid)
â?˘ 2.8% Risk to maternal health (valid)
â?˘ 2.1% Other
According to a 1987 study that included specific data about late abortions (i.e. abortions â??at 16 or more weeks' gestationâ?ť) women reported that various reasons contributed to their having a late abortion:
- 2% a fetal problem was diagnosed late in pregnancy
Ok you would prefer to keep bombing the middle east and keep accepting the inevitable refugees who could grow bitter towards the west and bomb us from within?-Military....bring ALL the troops home from across the world? Abandoning ALL of our allies across the world would DEFINATELY have serious effects on us here at some point. Not to mention the chaos that would persue.
Well if you keep doing what youâ??re doing then no one will ever retaliate, right sound logic. We had 9-11 coming?....Screw that! This is NOT the type of attitude that I want our President to have!!
-Revert back to the gold standard....I don't think there is an economist around that would agree with that considering that most of the world is pegged to the U.S. dollar. This is a world economy now whether the isolationalists like it or not.Academics for Ron PaulHistory is against you, history is on the side of hard money, if you look at stable prices then you have to look to the only historic sound money thatâ??s lasted more than a few years. Fiat money always ends, gold is the only currency where you can get stable prices, for instance in the last 3 to 4 years the price of oil has tripled a barrel of oil, 20, 30 dollars up to 100 dollars, and yet if you look at the price of oil in terms to gold its absolutely flat, absolutely stable so if we want stable prices we have to have stable money, but I cannot see how we can continue to deliberately destroy the value of money as an economic value.
YouTube - Ron Paul Schools Ben Bernanke Yet Again 2-27-08 I took that from this video.
Iâ??ll dig up some more info later.
Rep. Ronald Ernest Paul: Strict Constitutionalist, Doctor, Congressman, Author, Air Force Veteran, Economist. You will rue the day you didnâ??t listen
