Good luck... and you'll have to go to CA to find a room! Northern California is a very general area, I don't see why you wouldn't be able to find somewhere to live if you have the money.

Yes, most of the leases say no 215... but if you are a good tenant, respect the property, keep the grow small, and control odor/light leaks, getting caught is unlikely. Just because you are growing 'legally' doesn't mean that you should flaunt it, as some do around here. You'll also have to get CA residency before you can get your 215. There are landlords who turn a blind eye, most landlords just want to get paid and keep the property in good condition.

Lastly, growing in a house with roommates you have just met... not a good idea!
