I wonder how they tolerated the smell of gas in the apartment. I had a lawnmower in my garage and I could smell the gas in the bedroom next to it and fumes made me sick! Not as sick as the price of gas, I guess. Still the lawnmower will never be that close again! A lot of people in my area actually have gas pumps they installed in the '70's; however legal and if they can use them with all the new restrictions: But, I don't see that.
