 quick lst question...Hey,

Pruning fan leaves isn't LST, LST is the training of the plant by bending it and tying it down so that it grows numerous cola's.

As far as general pruning goes, some people swear by it and cut lots of leaves off, while others never cut anything. The way I see it is there's no problem pruning a few leaves now and then if there's a good reason (get more light to budsites or increase air circulation) but i wouldn't just do it for the sake of it. I personally like to prune a few of the lower leaves to increase the air flow beneath the canopy but prefer to tie the top leaves down rather than cut them off.

quick lst question...I would assume that cutting off major portions of the plants energy producers would be a bad idea.

 But im a n00b still.

Stinky told me not to touch fan leaves unless they are about 80% yellow, at which point, you can pluck them off.

quick lst question...yeah, i was thinking of clipping a few to get even more light to the lower portions of the plant/bud sites, but at the same time i don't want to clip too many due to the fact the plant absorbs light thru it's leaves. Kinda a double edge sword it sounds like. I'm just going to let it grow i guess. Thanks for the info tho

quick lst question...Just have to see if the plant likes it. Remember they make the sugar for the plant. don't cut to many off. Maybe you should trim this time, and don't the next to see which is better

quick lst question...Why not just go all out with the LST and move the leaves out of the way with some twist ties or something. That way they still absorb some light, won't over-stress your lady, and allow for deeper light penetration.

Or just try trimming off the individual fingers of the leaves if you really need to.
