Digital Thermometer Question?

The type of thermometer that works in your mouth will not read lower temps in the 80's and 70's. Its meant to have a threshold of 90+

Does anyone know if this info will work for a urine test at lab corp. I have a test in the morning. Is there anything to add to this?

I have a great job offer on the line and have only tomorrow to get tested...prospective employer just sent me a Quest GC/MS form with expiration date of June 19 so no time to order QF online...I have to hunt for it locally.

Questions:

1. Do test centers usually take walk in's? I can pick test Quest test center. How long is the usual wait until you pee (please post experiences).

2. I think I found a place that sells QF that opens at 11am. I was reading on the urineluck site the follwoing:

"Effective February 14, 2008 if your batch number (on directions inside box) ends in 05 you will need to send back for exchange. This product is not intended for use on lawfully administered drug tests and is to be used in accordance with all federal and state laws"

My question is what if local head-shop has this bad batch given that some stores may not be aware of this. Since my window of time is a little short (1 day) and cant drive around looking for a good batch should I be worried if I wind up with this?

3. Since I do not have time to practice much should I be fine with following advice of 10 sec in Micro and tape the heat-pad and be ok?

Hi Czar and welcome, As far as walk-ins I have always received the paperwork and did exactly that, Walked in. As far as I know Quest don't accept appointments. I'm out in about 30 minutes.

I didn't know that about the batch number. Mine says batch F4L-07. As far as I know 4.0 is the current batch and has not changed. You may not have a choice but to use it and I would ask them will they open the box and check the number and if no 5 You will pay for it. Nice job doing Your homework.

My microwave is pretty powerful and 10 seconds sent the temp strip off the scale and I worried about it but it was fine. The directions say up to 10 seconds. There is a video on you tube tube that says take the top off while heating and that was news to Me. I use a rubber band to secure the pad but tape should be fine except It might get sticky and I would think it could cause it to stick to Your hand and possibly have a accident like dropping the bottle.

You will be surprised how easy it is. Most everything I know and have done is in the posts above. Relax and good luck....:thumbsup:

My lab also was a walk in. I had to wait over an hour, but my experience seems to be more on the high side... most of the stories i've read state about a 10 -20 minute wait.

20 years of drug testing and I never had an appointment for a UA. It only takes a couple minutes.

If you find a local store that has it just ask if you can check the instruction sheet for the date stamp. Just inform them there has been a change in the formula and they should return it to spectrum labs for exchange. It would have to be a 3 year old box and I doubt there's going to be much of it out there.

10 seconds nuke check the temp strip on the side. Try to get it close to 100. If you put it directly in your crotch with some tight shorts it'll stay in temp range for 2 or 3 hours. You only need to use the heat strip if you put it in your pocket. They usually have you empty your pockets so its better in the crotch.

If I get wife's pee...and just hold in crotch will that work too so I can just get this done sooner in the morning? She is squeeky clean and isnt too pleased with me jeaperdizing this job opp...but would be a trooper for me.

I like QF but if Your wife is only on over the counter meds I would say hers is better then a friends.

I only use heat pads and some of the new pain patch's work great. (I've heard)
