When to harvest for the best seed
Hi I got 3 Little red ryder hood Auto flowers that I pollinated with my best male Ive grown lots before but never for seeds does anyone got some info on it? Specifically when to harvest? at the regular time? when seed pods open? I ask because on one of them the farthest along the seeds are just bursting out with 2 weeks left and they are still pretty green. the plants are still swelling up and are just coated in trichs so I think they can still grow more but I want good seeds and they're almost jumping off the plant???
Any tips would be great thanks.papalorge Reviewed by papalorge on . 4-5 weeks from the date on which pollination took place.

whenever possible, let the plant flower until the seeds start dropping ... seeds take better than 30 days to mature, the darker, the better :smokin:

When to harvest for the best seed
I left my seeds in the buds during drying and curing. I had painted some lower bud sites with pollen and never seen any seeds, nor did any fall out. I didn't know I had suceeded at producing seeds until I when to break up some buds, to roll one with..
anyways...I had hundreds of seeds covered in a fuzzy green coating...with big dark brown seeds inside...
would this cause a problem with seeds?...I germinated 6 to test...and 5 popped...but I had to abort for personal reasons..
The question is...Does leaving your seeds in the buds during drying and curing hurt anything?

No, leaving them in the bud actually lets them ripen further. I let my seeds ripen in the buds, and then take them out when the buds are dry and they just fall away.
