    Obama VP suggestions

The first people you think of are the other candidates who ran in the primaries, and of those, I'd probably pick Richardson. But they will be considereng a MUCH larger pool of people. In a way it might be hard to pick another also-ran other than Clinton, so he very well might lean toward going outside that pool. Maybe a popular democratic Governor.

The Mateel is great! I used to go to Reggae on the River every year. That is the most amazing event ever...

Not to get totally off topic from the Obama Veep question, but...

Yeah! I was always amazed at how many great world-class acts the Mateel Community Center could get together! Reggae on the River used to be the most amazing thing in the world. Go in first thing on Friday morning and just smoke tons of weed, drink loads of beer, float down the river, lay in the sun, watch all the naked people, the deadheads, the Humboldt mountain hippies, the dreadlock rastas. It was like a free zone where anything goes! No law enforcement, but totally peacful! And then 2 solid days of great music. I was always in a perpetual circuit the whole day --- smoke a bowl, go up to the concert, listen to the band, dance, get too hot, go down to camp, drink a beer, float down the river, smoke a bowl, go up to the concert, repeat, repeat, repeat... We would always stay most of Monday too because we were just warn out and had too much residual buzz to leave. Why did it go away? I see they have it back for a one-day show. I'm sure it's good, but probably nothing like the four-day freakout it used to be.

OK, back to Obama Veep picks....
