WWII Bombs found near AirportsThere were so many bombs dropped that they are still a fairly regular find in Europe , we also fish up a mine or two every year from the channel.

WWII Bombs found near AirportsA few years ago there was a story about an old woman in eastern Europe and how they finally got around to removing the 500 pound bomb from under her house. It had fallen on her house in WWII and at the time they had just repaired the hole in the roof and the hole in the floor and left it buried under the house. I guess they just forgot about it until one day she mentioend it to the grandkids. "Holy shit grandma! We should get that out of there!"
