TAP-no water softener. Adjusted to 6.3
17-18 weeks
Foxfarm: have used all foxfarm soil ferts: currently using flowering onl. Every other watering getting 3 tablespoons of big bloom (organic) per gallon and ¼ teaspoon foxfarm cha-ching every other feeding.

BiG PROBLEMS FOR A BiG TREE?
I know a guy doing an 8 foot pure Jamaican indoors. He's running a 25 gallon tub of soilless aking to promix and a pair of 1000w HPS hanging to the sides of the tree, and rotates it regularly for even coverage.
It's a daunting task but here are your issues as I see them:
Low branches receiving insufficient light. Remove the dead parts and spindly low growth before flowering, or within the first couple weeks of it.
Not enough pot size. You probably need to go to a big wash-tub sized pot with fresh soil and lots of drainage. Like a feed tub.
Plants are hungry- likely locked out from being rootbound and overfertilized. You'll need to drill extra drainage holes in there, flush with plain water at pH 6.7, give a LIGHT feeding, wait until the plant needs water again, then transplant and return to a normal feeding schedule.
I don't know how many weeks of flower you have left, but with a big pure sat, if you are less than 6 weeks in already showing hunger and pot-bound, definitely transplant because you've got some serious growin left to do.

BiG PROBLEMS FOR A BiG TREE?
ok, couple things. first im pretty sure its not rootbound. its only been in this huge wash tub/feed tub/muck tub for like 4 weeks. and this tub is massive like 3.5 feet in diameter and 3ft deep. likely not the problem. also 11 weeks. it's 18 weeks old total and its in 11th week of flowering (12/12 light schedule)the only thing that makes since is not enough light.; im guess there is nothing i can do then. hope if lives

11 weeks in it looks good for a big indoor sat. Get some extra holes drilled in the sides of that pot (which I think might actually be more than 10 gallons the way you describe it? I know exactly what you are talking about and it's what I was thinking of too, I just thought they had more volume than that to them) and do a nice heavy watering with excessive pH correct water (not a full flush, but definitely to runoff!) next time it's dry, then your light feeding to replace the good stuff that got washed away, and you will buy some time.
As for extra light, you COULD add side lighting but it is very late for that- up to you.

BiG PROBLEMS FOR A BiG TREE?
question.....excessive ph correct. which was is correct? i mean i know my water out of tap is about 7.4 but would that mean make my water even lower than 6.5? or does it depend on what the ph of my soil already is?

Yeah it depends on the soil ph, so do a runoff test. Say you want your soil to be 6.7. If your runoff is 6.0, flush at 7. If your runoff is 7.5, flush at 6. If your runoff is 6.5-6.9, already in the correct range, flush at 6.7 which is a good mid range correct soil pH.

sweet. last thing. with a tub this big how much water are we talking? usually its what about 2x the pot size for a heavy flush? so.....30 gallons?? haha or is that overkill? maybe a little less? i usually start getting runoff at about 1/3 pot size

A true flush is actually 3x pot size. But you are getting close to your harvest window- do you know exactly what the finish time is supposed to be? How crazy do you want to get with this thing? I mean, there's always the possibility of stuffing it in the shower and giving it some rain, right? hahaha too bad your tap pH is so high, but check the runoff first and if it comes up low, like below 6.4, you can get away with that if you make sure that when you water in your fertilizer right after, it's a heavy watering at correct pH. I was initially going to suggest just a nice heavy watering at correct pH for your soil, so that you get a good bit of runoff wihtout doing a full on giant flush. Your call on that one. Have the trichs started to turn at all yet?
