I have a corked jar that I use for short term storage. It does allow more airflow than a jar with a rubber seal. When I get new buds I usually leave them in the corked jar for 48-72 hours so they dry out a little (some people around me don't cure their nugs as long as they should). After this, I throw them in a truly airtight jar for longer term storage. I guess it's kind of overkill, but I'd rather smoke slightly dry bud than risk losing some to mold.
glade_1111 Reviewed by glade_1111 on . storage question (jars with corks) I was browsing a garage sale in my hometown yesterday, when I saw this sweet little glass jar which read "Vitamin C". It only cost a nickel, so I swooped in for the kill, positive that I had the steal of the century in my hands. However, I wonder about the large cork lid. Will keeping weed in my new vitamin Cannabis corked jar dry it out or affect the taste at all? The cork is dry and clean, but I've never really heard of anyone using a cork lidded jar to store herb.
