2 plants hermed. Cut them down or let them live?
Two of my plants seemed to have hermed in a matter of a few days. I'm guessing because of being in a darker enviorment than it used to be in. Or I should say it was probably used to dark period interruption and now seems to be like wtf.. it's dark. screw this let's make seeds.
Anyway back to the point.. I'm wondering if I should just salvage what bud is there or should I let it keep growing.
Keep in mind these plants are 109 days into flower.
The seeds are very juicy. If you squeeze a pod between your finger it will squirt juice in your face/eye. So they are all very new.
If someone could give me their opinion sometime soon I'd appreciate it.
I'm tiring of these plants flowering for so long with no end in sight and am leaning towards cutting them, but I guess I want someone to either give me the final push or convince me as to why I should just keep growing them.
If I cut these two then I have another that is almost ready to be harvested as well.. This would leave me with just 1 plant to have to deal with.
I know this is ridiculous and everyone will respond "you seem to have your mind made up"... which I do pretty much, I just feel bad for cutting them.
Give me your thoughts guys.daihashi Reviewed by daihashi on . 2 plants hermed. Cut them down or let them live? Two of my plants seemed to have hermed in a matter of a few days. Well you don't want the hermies to breed with any plants that might not be a hermie so I would cut them down. use the seeds for some food or something, rich in proteins and Omega-3 Acids. While still harvesting the buds, 109 days seems long, my experienced grower friend said it shouldn't take longer than 60 days or so

Your expierenced grower friend grows indicas. Which tells me that he's not so expierenced if I can tell that about him yet he can't tell I'm growing sativas just by the flower time.

Thanks for the input.

From skimming over your log it sounds like a fuckin' nightmare. 109 days flowering? I have trouble waiting till 70 days. If I were you I'd just hack them down and start fresh in the new cab.

Nah it just shows my inexperience, I didn't ask him specifically about your situation I just assumed that all varieties took 60 days based on what he had told me previously. hes experienced. no doubt.

Tell me about it... pretty frustrating as a number of events are revolving around the plants being done.

Even some indicas don't take 60 days and of course minor details such as light intensity, rate of plant nutrient uptake and light leaks or lack there of can increase or decrease how long you're flowering no matter what the strain.
