There are many methods for conserving you're weed but what I find most effective is using a one hitter. See a lot of people base their sessions off of how many bowls they smoke to get high and often times its a huge misconception to say that one bowl=one high. This is most certainly not true unless you have really crappy stuff. For most people it only takes about 5 hits to get stoned. Now a bowl is about 8 to 10 hits and if you pack a bowl and smoke it you end up smoking 10 hits before you ever feel anything which in turn causes you to over hit. You really only needed 5 of those 10 hits but because you smoked it faster than you could feel it, you ended up using those 5 extra unecessary hits. So what I always do is pack the hit individually rather than pack it by the bowl. Depending on what grade of stuff you have depends on how many hits you'll need but for me it takes about anywhere from 2 to 5 hits. Of course this method of conservation is thrown out once you smoke with others because since there are so many hitting it you would have to base you're high off of the bowl rather than the hit....otherwise you and you're friends would be in that smoke session for a while. But this method proved effective for me. I once chilled off of about a quarter of stems for a week and a half using this method when my town was dry.
