Being brazilian and having this interest in new grow mediums (obvious... :smokebong Well... Apparently this medium "grows", due to a combination of fungus and bacteria, and is apparently one of the most fertile soils in the world.

Excavation concludes a whole civilization, as big as the Mayan and Aztecs with pottery and artwork rivalling those cultures all around the Amazon margins, where land is known to be infertile.
