Hey, I am not against paying taxes for our fantastic military. What I'm against is having to pay all these freaking waste-o special interest/redistributing the wealth taxes. Which make up the majority of the 36% we pay.

Once again, "Sen. Obama thinks Memorial Day is a day to honor our nation's veterans, not a day for political posturing."....that of course doesn't apply to Obama when he's making a statement like he did. And how PROUD he was since he couldn't even get the story straight.

Sorry ol' boy was tired....how would he fuck up when he's tired in the oval office?
In case you haven't noticed, George Bush fucks up MANY times more with his facts and linguistics. My God, the guy's the most notorious president ever for it! But Bush or Obama's linguistic and memory faulies aren't what screws up the nation; actions are.

-Pulling out of Iraq in order to free troops to go into Somalia.
Haven't heard of this Somalia plan, wouldn't doubt it, but this isn't what I'm taking issue with. I agree 100% though, pulling out of Iraq is a strategic and moral blunder that would surpass even the initial idiocy of invading in the first place.

-Government controll over healthcare from the same people that fucked up government.
Far as I know, his plan is universal health insurrance coverage, not government-owned hospitals. Though I think it's a lousy and inefficient plan as is, seeing as how useful the insurance companies are.

However, the most successful models of healthcare in the world have been found in certain European nations where both socialized and private systems are available. Gets the poor healthcare without unpayable medical bill costs, and allows for a private system for those who can afford it; alleviating pressure on both systems. Socialized medicine is attacked on the basis of a strictly socialized model, not the moderate, sensible, and workeable two-tier system. And I'll say for my Canadian system, while having lousy drawbacks with exceptionally long wait-lists (thanks to not allowing privitized medical), has provided me with excellent treatment and doctor's visits that I badly need but never would have been able to afford due to my physical inability to work.

-Higher taxes on people during a time when the people need the money in their pockets.
Taxes are already high and out of control, and taxation aint a one-line measurement of higher vs. lower. Tax brackets, income levels, and what we are taxed on all need to be realligned.

Sorry that I don't chime in with the countless others in here with a "yeah, that's right". Give me something to work on here and I will like issues on abortion, gay marriage, the closing of Club Gitmo....
Give you something? But you already manage to find 5 issues a day by yourself!

By the way, where's your pro-McCain or GOP threads?
Where's all my pro Hillary/Obama and Democratic threads? Can't find them either, 'cause like any sensible person I know bullshit needs to be called from both sides. Sorry Psycho, but I've felt greatly dissapointed by your threads of the last year that never fault Republicans. Except Ron Paul or course, the only guy that's actually against the way they've been doing things.

^ I dunno. I think P4B is more Libertarian than anything, just like I am, but common sense dictates that since Libertarians are often perceived as radicals (and they only get voted in on a local level usually) you have to pick a side.

And Republicans are a lot closer to the Libertarian philosephy than Dems are. Well generally anyway.

I don't think anyone on these boards are 100% Republican OR Democrat.

So I doubt he thinks Republicans are perfect.

Well fishman, when our lil' neighbor to the north wants to shoot off it's trap to Russia it better have a strong big brother to back up it's crocodile mouth.

I think that we have enough dems in here to cover them issues don't you? Bush blew up the trade towers, created Katrina, etc....

The last year has been primarily about the elections and I'm sorry if I don't agree with the DNC on most everything that really matters.

    Have a good one!:s4:

Do you think the American people are asking to borrow money? No we don't like either. Probably the only people who get any sort of enjoyment out of it are the people whom we borrow money for.

We are a super power, we're are not trying to be a super power. Perhaps you're thinking about Canada where taxation is high and Medical services are socialized to the point to where a number of people come across the border to be able to be seen by a doctor. Yes I have Canadian friends and I know their complaints as well.

Every country would like to have the best military in the world. Who is it do you think that keeps people of interest out of North America in general? It is not Mexico, and it is definitely not Canada. Combined you have the firepower of a bb gun.

Your entire post has got to be one of the most ignorant ones I've ever seen. Do you wonder why it is that Americans make fun of Canadians?

Libertarians are the old school republicans. AKA the people who genuinely care about this country. Go Libertarians!!!
