Carter: Israel has 150 nuclear weapons

Jimmy Carter says Israel has at least 150 nuclear weapons. The former president made the claim during an appearance Sunday in Wales, according to BBC News.

"The U.S. has more than 12,000 nuclear weapons; the Soviet Union (sic) has about the same; Great Britain and France have several hundred, and Israel has 150 or more," Carter, a Democrat, says.

Israel, following a policy of ambiguity, has never confirmed reports that its arsenal includes nuclear weapons.

"The problem is that there are those who can use these statements when it comes to discussing the
international effort to prevent Iran getting nuclear weapons," Aharon Zeevi-Farkash, a former intelligence official, tells Israel Radio, according to JTA.

Pissed....not anymore with this assclown. More like amazed at his ignorance. Back in the 70's when he put our economy into chaos and destroyed the family farm, now that made me pissed.

Everybody "assumed" that they did with good cause BUT for an ex-President to make this statement, going beyond statements made by Israel or the U.S. government, is nuts. Are there any other things deemed "secret information" that he plans on shooting his mouth off about? Seems he sides more with the radicals of the region than our allies.

Maybe he should talk about his failure in Iran...that would be a hell of a topic for him to discuss.

Yes I've read what a terrible president he was, but I still respect him for not caring about the consequences. It's refreshing to see someone point out the obvious hypocrisy and bias that the US holds toward Israel.

It was also amusing to see him talk to hamas, bastards though they are, while being condemned by everyone.

All in all, we shouldn't be involved with Israel, they should fight their own wars.
