The HOT Texas sun......
It's been pretty darn hot here lately and I've noticed that my plant has been a little droopier than normal. I'm used to seeing it with all the leaves perky and happy looking...and these past couple of days they haven't looked do happy.
I have noticed that I have to water it more often, I don't know if it's cuz it's getting bigger or because the sun dries out the soil a bit faster. I did recently LST my plant but I don't think that has anything to do with it. I'm just wondering, are droopy leaves a sign if heat stress??? Is this something to worry about? Maybe I should move my (potted) plant to shady area. I don't know but I'd like to see my plant happier than what it looks right now.Thnx!tha_green_ghost Reviewed by tha_green_ghost on . yeah heat, lack of water will make leaves droop
give more water and give some shade will help a decent amount
it can also be the genetics and not liking so much heat

If I was going to grow outside; in Texas....I would stick with the Afghan strains...Kush.it can also be the genetics and not liking so much heat
A strain that can deal with heat/lack of moisture.

I did notice my leaves a little perkier about an hour or so after watering....I usually water once every other day to prevent over-watering, but I think I'm gonna have to water at least once a day due to this this dang heat. It seems to work better for my plant as far as the droopiness goes. Thnx:jointsmile:

All I can say is that in the North Texas area, mine are looking damn good. I'm only growing for mainly the enjoyment of growing and personal use.

here's a pic of my one that is now on it's 5th set of leaves (thoguh in the pic there's only 4) and it sitlll has the alternating 2 leaf pattern. Kinda neat if you ask me. I'm not 100% sure if it is one of the seeds I plaanted but just a fyi it's a northern lights cross i got as a freebie when i ordered some seeds a while back. The cali-o seed showed the typical cannabis leaf shape on it's first set of real leaves, so i'm hoping this northern lights keeps the style it's got as it'd be different.
