quick question
It was determined by many helpful folk on this list that i am in need of a flush. Here is a small concern. I am outside, in 4 gallon containers, and it has been raining the last 12 hours. It is supposed to continue to rain for the next 2-3 days.
At night they have a black tarp over them to force flowering. They are about 3 weeks into bloom.
Should i flush them even though it is going to continue to rain for the next few days?
They have a weather protector(agribon) over them which slows down the rain and wind but it still gets through. Not sure enough gets through to have mother nature do the flush for me.
I am afraid of root rot...and mold...suggestions??? quick question
if it is recomended to flush, i say flush, let the rain fall, but a flush is more than rain, you are trying to get rid of the nute build up i assume? so flush. i think it means like three gallons of water for every gallon of soil. i flush mine before harvest, or if i have nute problems. So flush and let that sweet rain fall.
oh yeah, the root rot wont happen if you have adequate drainage...

quick question
Raining there eh?
I just mowed three acres worth of grass to ward off the fire danger too because there's been fires EVERYWHERE around here. At least that part will be better for awhile which is good since all the grass I mowed will now grow right back. :wtf:
inbud is right....a general flush is 3-5 times water to the size of the pot. Are you using any sort of zyme product or root product for general root health? That should help but I don't think you are too bad off even if it does rain for a few days.

quick question
Right on, flush it is. I am suited up in my raingear and ready to get wet.
Weedhound i do not have any zyme product. I have used them intermittently in the past.
We had a fire scare just the other day. Was apologizing to the girls that the dogs had first choice of seat in the auto. Can't bring everyone if the s*%$ hits the fan.
Good eye, no pun intended. That is a Chow. She came home with me from a Carribean island 4 years back. A total sweetheart. Unfortunately she has since lost vision in what appears to be her good eye. Glaucoma. She navigates the acreage like a champion.
