He digs it out of the damn ashtray and I put a finger on it to crush it, "see? all black, that is cashed"
I fill a new bowl.

The "black hits" are nasty and bad for you.

Just use a poker then it'll burn evenly and you'll know when it's cashed.

It's cashed when the ashes hit the back of your throat, at least that's a good way to tell for noobs. After you get some experience you can kinda tell when the ashes start caving in on themselves just before they get sucked through.

have you ever tried hitting the resin at the bottom of the bowl?

After your bud is cashed and you dump it out light the bowl (and keep lighting it) and pull hard (while still lighting it) and you will have monstrous hits that will guarentee you to be fucked up

I tried that recently; it was amazing. Then I turned the it side to side to hit different "deposits" of rez.

With mine, at least, a lot of rez had collected just inside the mouthpiece. I hit it from the carb and lit the mouth.

No trouble falling asleep that night.
