im in on the beta on ps3.. good game. never played socom before but it seems really fun. only problem with the beta is that it takes soo long to join a game. sometimes ill watch tv while its loading a match. and when i come back its still loading!
overall, good first impression.. i cant wait for the game :jointsmile:

no single player you say? ya thats good cause i was always at a disadvantage in multiplayer with out the unlockable ghillie suit and especially in socom 3 without the iw/stg and front grip. Except it was kinda good cause i was used to not having one and id pick up a stg with front grip and just rape people. actually not like it makes a damn difference casue i dont have a ps3 and wont have one for a long time probly haha

The beta is extended to Thurs. New patch out this week, Games is out 6 days after. Get ready SOCOMERS cause it is near, and some things are hopefully gonna get fixed with this next patch. Might take some time to get used to but if your used to playing shooters and next gen games, youll probly adapted eaisly. Some Metalgear and call of dooty implemnts in the controls also some rolling wich helps in getting in those prone snipes.

Yes. So far I'm not impressed. Looks like they might have released it prematurely. One thing I can't figure out is when you create a game, it won't let me control it. For example, I can't just start the game and everyone is waiting around getting bored. Like there's no fucking way to get the game you created to start! I know in most multiplayer games, if you create the match you have control over it. You are the moderator of that game. But I don't think it's the same in this game. It's really lame. I just got it yesterday, so I hope I can figure it out or I'll be pissed

This game is off the hook, I cant even start on how, sick it is......... and to the question are u the moderator, In SOCOM their are no moderators, theri is a host and even the host does nuthing but make a game and get kicked out when the game feels it needs a better connection for host. For those that play SOCOM you will pick it up quick, the servers and the game are having big probems to the point where at times it is unplayable. Servers have crashe already due to the amount of people logging on at once.
It is funny to see people talk crap about the game on SOCOM.com, but the only thing I am pissed about is GamesStop had a preorder, first release, so we all preorderd at gamesstop. On the 14th the day it came out GamesStop would not sell the game, Yet Target, Wallmart, GameCrazey they all did, sell it on the 14th the realses date. everyone else sold it on the 15th, the day after, and some are even holding peoples preorderd game for some reson and distributing it acording to them.
You will see, if your a COD fan you might not like it to much but then again I have meet some COD fans in thegame and they say they will never go back to COD again, others not so much. As for me SOCOM is the only game I play, and soon will be playing for cash, it is in line for profesional gaming, such as counterstrike. Alot of gamers have been waiting for this for years, personaly I have been playing SOCOM since day one back in 01 or 02 when it came out, and ever since I never went back to anyonline shooter.
All the others like COD, Rainbow, etc. I like the first player but the online gets old realy quick in those environments, and beatig those games in one player is to easy usualy (the exception is Metal Gear, first person is hard and a masterpice of gaming) , to the point wher I can rent it and the week long rental period, is enough time to beat two of those games, such as splinter Cell I bet that in about 4 hours, and I only fired like 5 shots, well it wasd alot more, but seamed like 5 shots.

Any way for you SOCOMers, your gonna love it.

Yes, I gave it another shot and damn. I dunno, that first day just sucked, but as I got used to it it all came back. Def like the other Socoms. Any news if those jungle maps will be coming back? Or the Eastern European ones?
