NEW SOCOM

So the new SOCOM comes out in the upcoming holiday season. I have sceen all the footage provide buy testers and what SONY has released, I can safley say it is the next generation of SOCOM. Poblems have been fixed and many new things added. the given adds are new stuff that has been out for a while but improved, such as destructable environment, wepon site problems, etc. However their are new things that just blow my mind, for example, rolling around when prone, when in crouched position you can now jump dodge out of those gernandes, kills are now very graphic such as body parts blowing off and such ( ok so the last on is just hearsay at the momement. What are you gamers thoughts on it, G4 has already stated it is gonna be the next generation of online first person shooters. (Personlaly I knew this for a long time now, just disapointed it didnt make the previouse release dates) The graphics, the game play, the battle, it is all part of the beauty in this game. I cant wait, I just sold my PS3 for an absurde price, but I am gonna get another one on releas of the new SOCOM. I was just palying the old SOCOM all the time anyway figured id sell it whill the price is still worth more than what I paid. If some of you havent seen the new clips and shot of the new SOCOM let me know Ill find some vids and pics for ya.

i fuckin love socom i played 2 and 3 a shit ton i still play 3 sometimes i never got combined assault tho. But ya when the time comes ill probly get a ps3 for that shit

It is sopposed to come out in september. It is not Socom 4 (or 3 because 3 is out ) it is the new version for the next gen. It does look sik, it is all over youtube right now. I cant even get started on the new things in the game. But it is gonna be insane and hopefull no-cheaters. Their is a new cheat detection system and tornament referee system in place. Check Socom.com for daily updates and votes for the game. For a while their it was gonna be like the wack ass COD4 untill the plyers spoke up and voted, now it be more like the previouse Socoms just insanly better. I cant even start on how insane it will be fore the Socomer addict.
Why didnt you get Socom CA(its $10 now)? Their are over 30 maps to pick from and the new map packs are all free. Thats about 20 maps that you havent played since Socom 1 or 2. The afterhours map plyed at night is sick now, it is raining and your fighting in the lightning and under the neon sighns. (on a side note the muzzel flashes in dark rooms in the new game are insain)

oh not to burst your bubble but the new Socom is all old maps with the exception of about 2 or 4. it is mostly a building plat form for the next gen, but what a beautifull platform it is. all maps are slightly changed Crossrodes has new versions and Urbanwastlands is on its way back.

The public BETA is coming out on the 1st of this next month. those of you who are ready for the next game of the year, it is almost time. Also need to mention the new Zipper game M.A.G. release date unknown but it is 256 warriors battleing all at once all the time, in the same room.

Do you guys remember the oil platform level from Socom 1? That was sick as hell. Are they bringing that one back? Also, what's everyone's SN going to be for the Socom game?

^^ the oil platform in S1 is call FoxFire it never went awa it was in Socom 2 and 3 and CA and now it is supposed to be in Confrontation too.

I think it was originaly a Socom 2 map though, but I could be mistaken. The last socom had 32 levels just for the online play. that was 2 games put togeather and 3 map packs that were free. The new game is gonna have 9 maps with 7 new maps, I think, its all fuzzy right now.

We are BETA testing now have been for close to a month, I think it is sick, their are lots of problems but by releas date which is coming up in a couple weeks, I hope they will be fixed. THier was a new Patch today infact, I am downloading it now, lots of little changes have been implementied IO cant wait to see. The first 2 days of the BETA it was practicaly unplayable, now it is not so bad at times very good.

For those of you who are not playing it, the game is gonna be insane. A new map in a big map setting has a bilding with many floors strait up, and a detonator button at the very top. The button blows a bridge or sumthing at the bottom. So it is a race to the building then a race to the button, then a race to kill all. That game on Control sounds sick. ALL games, extract, breach, suppression, elimination, demo, etc. are thier all but CONVOY, thier are no vehicles in this game and supposably will not be until SOCOM 4, or MAG wich comes out before SOCOM 4. LOTS of fun I cant even stress, most call of duty players dont like it, but cross over eaisly, then leave after short playings and diengs, no computer assisted killing in this game, never will be.
