Heres what I've got to work with...

I've got a closet which is 18dx20wx36h. Given those dimensions you can see the area is about 2.5 sq ft. As per a sticky on this board I decided I'd go with at least 10,000 Lumens of CFLs.

If I do six 55watt CFLs at 3600 lumens a piece; (3-65k FS, and 3-27k warm whites) it will give me 21,600 lumens.

Thats approximately double the original 4,000 lumens per sq ft I was trying to achieve, and is completely feasible budget wise. I plan to use two triple light bathroom fixtures at least to get um veging. During flower I may have to add some verticle side lighting of some sort.

For the ventilation, I don't know how I'm gonna work that out yet.

Got a small desk fan for breeze simulation.

I may actually have to build a Box to put inside the closet so that I can circulate air in the closet and the box but light seal it for flower.

For the one or two plants you'll put in there, 3 of those bulbs is probably plenty. Of course more light means faster growth, but the big concern is during budding. With more light, even CFL, you'll have to be more concerned with temperature. Don't underestimate the importance of exchanging air. For best results don't let the temp of the leaves get above 80, and this means temps at the canopy should not be above 82. Transpiration can slow or stop above that. For lighting, proper colors are important as well. 5500-6500K for veg, 2400-3200K for bud. Preferably 5700 and 2500.

Alright, my 'box' inside the closet may be the way to go then. The issue is I can't vent externelly out of the enclosure all the time. At night I can open the door no problem.

Well Ill do 3 full spectrums with one warm for veg then, and switch to 2700 for flower.

Lol. Well that post was from quite a while ago. I worked on the room for a while and got this far and have changed added and changed more.

Thats currently a 150 watt HPS in a lantern tube with computer exhaust fan and intake fan. A 150 watt PC powersupply powers those two fans.

With my current setup growroom temp stays 3-5 deg. F above ambient room temp. Thats pretty good in that small of a space with a 150.

This is the first time trying this room out. Those 3 plants you see in those pictures have been in flower since july 11. I'm looking for nothing big but a grow that proves I can come up with a product to enjoy. If it works out I will definately expand and do better things in the future.
