all fan leaves die off in flowering due to the lack of nitrogen when
making buds, so probably not... my new colas grew out of the buds
and from under the buds

and i always use 24 hours

and it can take from 5 to 10 days before u see any signs of new
growth and when u do see the new growth it don't even look like
pot lol
