smoking and skin aging
This obviously isn't a serious health concern but for some reason it is a greater concern for me than internal problems such as lung disease. They say people who smoke look older and get premature wrinkles. Nicotine has this sort of affect but I'm wondering if carbon monoxide and the other common denomenators between smoking weed and smoking cigarettes lead to premature aging. Would smoking a lot of weed bring early wrinkles and make your face look old and dicrepid?
I have a hard time measuring the effects of smoking one cigarette and smoking one joint or one or two bowls because you get so many more hits off a joint than you do a cigarette, because it is so potent. So would the joint be worse for you because you get more hits off it even though it is the same weight as the cigarette? Does coughing more mean it is worse for you... worse for your lungs, worse for the skin aging process, etc. ???? or does it all come down to how much weight you are smoking? I can smoke a cigeratte in about 9 puffs and will barely cough.... but if I smoke a joint of some killer weed of the same weight as the cig I will cough my ass off and will get so many more hits.... does that mean the joint is worse for me???
any input would be appreciated... i am most concerned about aging my skin so anyone with any dermatology background could be helpful. thank you.
and i know about vaporzing and cooking, i do that too, i'm just curious about how harmful smoking really is.
my gut feeling is that it doesnt raelly age my skin but i'm just paranoid i guess.MedusaGrower Reviewed by MedusaGrower on . smoking and skin aging This obviously isn't a serious health concern but for some reason it is a greater concern for me than internal problems such as lung disease. I have actually wondered the same thing before. My guess is that cigarettes ultimately affect your skin and the aging process more because of the carcinogens and whatever the hell else is in there. I am guessing marijuana does too, but not as much. I don't think any type of smoke can be good for a person's skin really.

I'm 60, look 50, toked for 40! My only "beauty treatment" is a little hemp oil on my face at night about 3 times a week. The physical process of toking pot has left a few lines around my lips, but not too bad- nothing like if I smoked 2 packs of tobacco a day!- Granny:hippy:
