G'day all!

Well it's week six of grow # 1. I think my kids are about a week behind where they should be right now due to some replanting and other *ahem* stupid things that I thought I would do instead of heeding the advice of the cannabisdotcom Elder counsel.

Anyway, I have three amigos in a grow box that I built and I've had them on a 12-12 light cycle for a couple of days now. I've included some pics for anyone who might like to try and sex them. I feel pretty confident that I'll be able to tell when the time is right but I am also new to this art and I don't want any prego girls.

I have a couple of questions if anyone is so inclined to answer. How long does it take before the male plants will begin to bugger with the females? And what would be the worse case senerio if they where left together for to long?

maybe sooner whth that magnifier you got there, nice, i'd like one too. LOL
worse case scenarion is the fems are pollinated and go to seed, you'd still get some smokable bud, just not as much nor as good.
you should be able to determine sex and eliminate the males before it becomes a problem though, the fems are easy to spot once they start to exhibit.

Hey thanks for the input justanotherbozo. That eases my anxiety a wee bit. This is such a game of patience and unfortunately I have very little to spare. I'd hate to have them buggered up before I get to SMOKE 'EM!!

Oh and F.Y.I., the magnifier lamp came from good old Walmart. I found it in the lamp section, it was only about 10 bones. Maybe you can find one there, it has surely made my life easier!

LOL, and i will definately be making a trip to Walmart this weekend.
if you have the time (you obviously have the interest) you should check out the home page for each of the forums and read all the 'stickys', those are threads that have so much info that they're permanently kept at the top of the list for newbies like us to find.
also, if you're a DIY kinda guy, you'll find all kinds of makeshift stuff that really gets results. ALL of my equipment is homemade from ideas i got from this sight and my own reading.

2. On the subject of seeded bud being poor quality: I pollenated the lower bud sites, on my white widow plant. Those little seeded popcorn buds have a nice kick to them; just as good as the sensi-colas.

..but, then again, I fall under the influence easy...:stoned:

I have actually read and reread and rereread alot of the stickys. I know that they are a treasure trove of indispenible info and if not for them I probably wouldn't have gotten as far as I have. Usually I just have to look at a plant (any plant) to make it wilt and die. I was kinda itchin to get my kids pics on here (I'm becoming a proud papa) and I thought this might be a way to open a dialog with some of them great members on here. Thanks for the "sticky" heads-up though. All Noobs should heed that advice for sure!! Good luck with the magnifying lamp, I hope your Wallymart carries one.

Wow, I'm humbled, THE Dutch Pimp offerin up the 411. The pics are awesome and will prove useful I'm sure. It's also good to know that a few seed here and there aren't going to mess up my kids to badly. Thanks for the tips mate.

Oh and here's to falling under the influence easily, wouldn't want it any other way!!
