After all that waiting how did you like GTAIV?

Its good but nothing amazing. it met my expectations.

The delay must've made the game from plain good to amazing. There were a couple aspects from San Andreas they should've retained like having a lot more land and flying fighter jets.

Other than that, they did a superior job.

It exceeded my expectations. I didn't think it was going to be better than san andreas, but now I love it, i think its better than the rest of the series.

My thoughts exactly. I loved the cheat codes like flying cars. I also liked customizing the cars like adding nitrous. I can understand no planes because of 9/11, but the selection of helicopters was really bad. And I liked the parachute from San Andreas. The story was more interesting in San Andreas as well, plus I liked the west coast theme. All together a great game, but not as good as San Andreas in my book. Better then the third one, though.

I love it, play it all the time. I think all the little details they put into it made it far more superior than any of the other games. I do miss certain aspects of SA like parachuting and planes like others said, but i never played San Andreas enough to think its better than GTA IV.

San Andreas is twice as good at the lates GTA title in my opinion. And also probably the best of all GTA's. The problem starts with the difference in the characters. Carl Johson is a much more cooler, playable character then this Eastern European man who's name escapes me. And as for the other characters? Carl Johnson is surrounded by gang members just as cool as he is. And who's the sidekick of GTAIV? The main character's fat, ugly, annoying and horribly dressed cousin (Roman?).
The story and setting of GTAIV is also way to dull and more predictable then San Adreas. And the game is also less fun as it is easier to get hurt is simple car crashes and I find it generally harder then San Andreas to move around. Making it too much of a chore to play. And so I'll stick with San Andreas for now.
