    T8 light

why is it not a good idea to use a T8 light. the more i read the more confused i get. from what i read it puts off a little less light then the T5 and is more expensive to run but if you have enough of them i don't see why they wouldn't be fine. Any thoughts?

T8's will do fine as long as you can keep them close, I have 8 of them mounted vertically, with supplemental cfl's on top (about 400 total watts). This does just fine for up to 3 plants.

Pics are 4,6,9 and 13 weeks....not as good as HPS but it gets the job done....... hope this helps.
