I've owned three bubblers. The first one looked like nothing special, but it cherried and hit really well. The second was from Bonnaroo 2005 and was beautiful until my roommates threw it out of the car after getting in a minor fender-bender (one thought the cops would come- the dumbass).

My current bubbler is still beautiful. I bought it from a shop cart in Florence, Italy. I was able to bargain the dude down from 45 to 30 euros and then only paid 28 because its all I had in my wallet. It would be worth at least $100 in a headshop in the U.S.

Anyway, yes, bubblers are nice from time to time. I don't think they're as social because (at least with mine) you're tempted to pass it like a pipe, but because you can take such big hits, it clears almost as fast as a bong. I mean you can just keep packing it thought... :jointsmile:
