Proof that resin really gets you high I smoked an eighth of afghani kush over a period of a week, then I scraped the resin from the bowl and rolled it into a black little ball of tar, smoked it, and I've been staring at my skin for about 30 minutes trying to figure out how it works. Like how does your skin know how to grow back together correctly when you get cut, etc? I realize this is why we sometimes have scars but many times you won't. So I'm just thinking about how incredible that is...so anyway yeah, resin gets you high for Rating: 5

While resin does in fact get you high, it also a) tastes like shit, and b) contains a large amount of carcinogens...after all, it's tar people. Smoking it isn't something I'd advise.

Tar isn't necessarily what causes the cancer bro. Since Cannabis doesn't cause cancer, and it's smoke contains a fucktonne of tar, it's safe to say that while smoking tar with hunks of pot and thc in it isn't the best way to get high, it won't kill you.

HeH, I don't think that polonium 210 is found on tobacco leaves as it is a radio active. Here is an excerpt from wikipedia

"A rare and highly radioactive metalloid,[1] polonium is chemically similar to tellurium and bismuth, and it occurs in uranium ores."

It occurs in uranium ores, not tobacco leaves. LoL not to mention that if you read the whole wiki on polonium you would also realize that polonium is highly expensive and would not be something the tobacco companies would be adding to their cigarettes...

Yeah, it gets you high, but is no pleasure to smoke. I used to smoke it when I was younger as being young and broke sucked, but now I just toss it out when I wash out my pipes. It tastes bad, and leaves me feeling groggy and illish almost.

To each their own though. I don't think anyone denied that tar didn't get you high. It's just gross, that's all.

I love the taste of smoking resin. Compared to bud, sure it tastes like crap. I guess it's an acquired taste. Smoke enough super resinous bud long enough and you can even scrape your teeth for some resin lol yeah it sounds nasty but it's happened to me a couple of times.

The only thing that bothers me is: think about how much resin your pipe/bong/whatever collects (or fails to collect). then think about your lungs. It's a good thing cannabis has enough healing properties in it to cancel out the carcinogens from the burned plant material.
I love vaporizing, but smoking is such a hard oldskool habit to kick.

It's not resin, it's residue. That residue is TAR.

I never said it would cause cancer, just that resin is full of carcinogens, which it is. It's TAR. Sure it probably won't kill you, but I highly doubt it's going to do you any good either, and thus wouldn't recommend smoking it, to anyone.

your both sorta correct, after hearing about the polonium thing once i looked it up, and i read that it isnt so much as the polonium 210 being on the leaf itself, but more so that the polonium was put on the leaf when the plants get fertilized the fertilizers more often than not on commercial fertilizers contain some sort of polonium 210 content. And polonium being one of the most deadly of the radioactive metals is dangerous at low levels.

As for smoking the resin, i do, i used to just whenever i ran out i would scrap whenever i wanted to smoke next and considered it an actual smoke no matter how the high. But after buying o's lately i have ha no reason to scrape the resin out seeing as any break i take will be tolerance driven, usually after smoking the o, and dont have a need to smoke any, and i will usually go off by buying another after smoking the o when i get paid again. And i probably should seeing as i have smoked quite a bit out of one of my bowls and it is probably getting thick

You guys are also a little too quick to think that you can never get cancer from smoking marijuana. Sure, it wouldn't be nearly as common as cigarette smoking, but I doubt any of you are epidemiologists....
