    Grow log v.1.5

This is my new and improved grow log. The last one I abandoned because I had linked pics and decided it wasn't that great of an idea do do such a thing. So here we go...

What I used is some bag seed. I planted them in 6 month time released Miracle Gro soil, for lack of knowing any better at the time and being anxious. I planted all seeds in the same pots to begin with, but as the sprouted I separated them. Some of them remained their entire lives in the large pot. Only one was female that is still growing in her original pot and is one of my biggest and appears to be producing the most buds.

I vegged for about a month and a half before I started to flower.

These picture show what I'm using for a cabinet and pretty much show how my cabinet has been evolving over time.

    Grow log v.1.5

These pics show how I seperated them and tried to get them close to my updated yet still inferior lighting system. The lights are stuck to the side with velcro. The glue was not strong enough and once they grew toward the top the lights fell onto the plants. At this point I still have no ventilation. The two flowering pics are from about 2.5 weeks of flowering and I do have ventilation at that time. I am unable to find any veg pics from in between seedlings and those two young flowers.

Now these pics I took just a few minutes ago. I have my ventilation and 8 100W equiv. CFLs. 6 of them are soft white and 2 are daylight. The temp maxes at around 83F and gets to a low of about 65F at night. At the beginning of flowering my plants barely took up any of the cabinet, now they take up the whole damn thing and they forced me to LST. The sideways bud is on a stem that I accidentally cracked and I have it support by a metal stick and taped to help it heal.

I started adding a small amount of nutes about 3 days ago to ensure my plants stay healthy until the end. Before that, I did nothing but add tap water whenever the soil seemed dry.

So far I am very please with how they are turning out. Two of the three females are Hermie, probably because of the lighting incidents during veg. I also added two plants that are not flowered yet because I took them out to make room while I waited for my other plants to show sex. They sat in my window for a few weeks and I watered them as I remembered. They are the two on each side in the front. I just put them back in because there was room and I wanted to see what would happen with them.

    Looking good Jaysin.

Just want to give you some friendly advice.

I Just wondering if you know the kelvin ( Light wave length ) of the lights your using ( soft white, daylight ) in flower you want your kalvin around 2700k.

Also for furture reference your hermi's were more than likely caused by light timing flucuations or light leaks and not caused by the light falling on them. You may want to check your box for them.

Other than that you have the growing part down.

Also I read a post you left in Shovelhandels grow log you may harvest early due to needs. If it gets down to it. Harvest your weakest first, then let the rest go untill they mature. Those extra 2 to 3 weeks may double the yeild.

Best of luck and happy growing Jaysin.

From what I have read, soft white is generally a 2700k bulb and daylight is 6500k (not sure on the daylight). So in other words more soft white for flower and more daylight for veg.

I'll definitely make sure I have no light leaks before my next grow. There are a lot of things I want to change and check actually.

As far as harvesting early, I can't seem to find the post you're talking about. I may have said something like that a long time ago, but have since changed my mind. I want to make sure I get the most out of this so I don't end up running out before my next harvest. If you are referring to the one in his fourth of July thread, I was just saying that I'm anxious to try it out. I can wait though.

Thanks for the advice. I definitely can't wait till my next grow. There is so much I've learned from everyone on here that I want to see how much more smoothly my next grow goes. Not to mention a lot of things with my cabinet that I've decided to change in between grows.

One thing that I'll probably be doing is turning the drawer above the cabinet into a bud drying drawer. So when it gets close to harvest I'll have to find some supplies to set it up right.
