Water Quality
a RO unit will take your tapwater ppm from your present 040, to about 002 (at least, mine does) ... most importantly, it will remove the chlorine from a city water supply ... chlorine will NOT harm your plants, but it will kill beneficial bacteria that do help your plants ... BUT, then you will have to add CalMag+ to make up for the removed calcium, magnesium, iron, etc... ... it's a 'cost' decision for most people ...

But when I went to the hydro store the woman who helped said that I really don't need one because the water in my area is real good. I let her discourage me from buying one. Now, one week into my grow, I'm having second thoughts. I'm fairly new to growing but still very picky. I want very much to optimize the quality as well as the yield. I would really appreciate any input on how important Rating: 5
