hey dude, you should try and understand that when someone gives you advice they're trying to help you.
keeko is right, light from a window is unreliable, in duration as well as in intensity so it is unlikely you will achieve any real results, you'll get something, just not much.
heres a link to a thread that you should read from beginning to end, after which you will know way more about how to grow ganja, cheaply.
http://boards.cannabis.com/grow-log/...-grow-log.html
and try to relax man, don't take advice from everyone obviously, but if you hang around here a while and read the threads, you'll quickly see who to listen to and who to ignore. (check out thier reputation, not a guarantee of good advice, but someone with as many rep points as keeko probably knows what he's talking about)
anyway, good luck with your little growjustanotherbozo Reviewed by justanotherbozo on . Ugh..... can we please stop talking about etiquette, I already said I was sorry and that I do not want this thread to be devoted to who is right and who is not.... So if you would please if you want, comment on the plant.

I think you probably Have stressed your plant, or it could have been from the start.... A male plant. So if this is a male, this will not produce anything. Im sorry.
Usually when little sacs pop out on each side and hang or are being elevated by a tiny tiny stem ever so small...thats a sure sign of a male.
you may want to try again! dont get Discouraged, just think of the stuff you learned to make your next grow even better

Well to start off, I just very recently stated that the plant is in fact female. For this I am sure, I see little white hairs coming out the nodes from a "male" like sac. So stress is not an issue at this point. In that case, life is good.

Hi Ultimate.. Give up on the window sill idea already! lol
If it works at all the yeild will be disappointing. ie. you will be lucky to get a few grams at best.
Your plant is surprisingly healthy looking otherwise. Bit stretchy and nodeless but nothing that can't be 'improved'. Permanent use of CFL lights will work much better than the window light and the environment can more easily be controlled.
I suggest you use 3-4 of those 23watt CFLs. I go against the grain recommending say 3 x 23Watt (6500K(Blue)) and 1 x 23Watt (2700-3000K(Red)).
Place it in an appropriate cabinet or box etc its up to you. You should allow for the plant to at least double or maybe triple in size. You don't want the enclosure too big though due to the CFL's weak penetration. Make use of as much close proximity reflection as possible. Layer the entire insides of the box with some shiny silver xmas wrapping paper. Spend a little time ensuring its safely adhered to last the warmish temps of at least one entire grow. It's by far the best cheapest version of mylar. Do not use foil. It doesn't work well, tears easily and makes a lot of noise.
You will also need to cater for use of a small fan and the appropriate ventilation/fresh air to keep the temp from getting too high. It should be a fairly small low temp environment so you won't need to do alot.
Keep the lights close to the tip/s and major fan leaves. 1-2 inches approx where possible. Continue LST'ing when appropriate until the developing buds become fairly 'pronounced'. Don't clip any leaves off because they all act as solar panels to deliver the entire branch and tips/buds their energy.
Ensure 12/12 lighting with a 24hr timer and keep it as close to pitch black as possible during the dark period. Feed, water/drain, house and light the plant correctly using a slightly modded version of things you already probably have and are doing. IMO you could stand to get up to an ounce or so from this particular soil grown plant if all went well.
Side note : If it were me I'd cut the top off and stick it in perlite to root. Then rig up a very basic soiless medium solution. Plant vigour, health and yeild from a simple hydro setup with CFL lights is dramatically better compared to soil. It's great fun and you can expect more like 3-4 ounces of surprisingly large dense nuggets using only 90-100Watts of CFL.

Elcheapo:
Thank you very much for this information. I will certainly take this advice and change my method. I also would like to point out that this is just a screw around grow, I just wanted to prove to myself that I could actually do this, so not a large yield is fine with me. I appreciate the time that you took to help me out.

.... just build a little box for it, you said you had cfl's, just get a few more, and a few other cheap supplies.
There are plenty of 'recipies' for a rubermaid box on this site, ...and their respecitve results as well
...edit ...
never mind , i see a few people have mentioned this already :stoned:

No probs. I'm happy to have a stab at answering any questions, give you my thoughts on your current progress and can offer some advice. I too started off with a very similar idea in mind as yourself regarding a test grow. Trial and error builds valuable experience! When I realised it was actually working I decided to optimise my setup to ensure I got the best outcome from what I was working with.
Some members although well intentioned will only recommend a fairly complicated, expensive, high powered solution. I on the otherhand am happy with a very small footprint setup. It's more about the fun and generating ample "medical" benefits to make it worth my while.
Keep us updated!
