    Grinder?

I'm gonna go against the grain here and say that I vastly prefer breaking up bud by hand as compared to using a grinder. I personally think that grinders are a waste of money and just one more needless step to further complicate what is supposed to be a simple experience.

    Grinder?

Grinders are great but just don't buy a metal grinder because they break too quick and easily. Both me and my friend had a metal grinder and within the course of 3 months all the metal spikes had broken off inside. A small plastic grinder for about $7 at any local headshop works just about the best for a cheap price i have found. That's my opinon though, the plastic just seems to hold up better to the green.

You baught a cheap one, the good ones are machined so the spikes inside cant break off. Dont buy those cheap ones, cause most are made of aluminum and when they break you could be smokin aluminum shavings, that is heavely linked to alzhimers and a whole bunch of other shit. just make sure the spikes are not pressed into the mettal and were shaved out of the metal

    Grinder?

also, to the cat that said "Breaking apart by hand is a simple process and shouldn't be messed with"

You've clearly missed the simplicity of a grinder. Yes, hand-breaking is a nice little process but grinders DO simplify it and make it about 20x faster.

I'm all about the rituals when it comes to this stuff but breaking up never really felt like a ritual the same way rubbing off keif for hash or using a glass wand or snuffing out a bowl on your slider before you pull it out on your bong.

Grinders also make it super-easy to separate stems and seeds from the mix. You CAN smoke those things and the little crappy seeds get pulverized pretty well and the little dinky stems get chopped up well. the rest is easy to spot and pull out of your stash box.

I also want to note that my grinder is one of my major redundancies when it comes to this stuff. It collects keif and I keep a separate keif box (I tend to grind up 28g at a time) and those grinders just don't have the storage. Mine's like 3" in diameter and I'll go through just that in a night. I really like collecting keif and it's way easier with a grinder and keif box.

But the ritual of breaking up weed just keeps you from getting high that much more. You also appreciate glass screens more when you grind up your stuff.\

Not to mention it gives a lot more surface area to vape and ignite.

    Grinders 4 lyfe!!!
