powdery morning mil dew
Hello folks. Just hoping for a few words of wisdom from ya'll. I have come to trust the words shared on this site, often times more than the words of some friends. So i ask...
I have Powdery Mildew and i am on day 49 Flower. The buds are plentiful and large, and the mildew is in random nooks and crannies. I have been battling it THE WHOLE TIME, but now since i have lost my spray ability for a while, The DEW seems to be winning.
It is right up on the small leaves that are poking out of the sides of the buds. The plants have a nice coating of crystals and i dont see the mildew on the "bud" but it is around. My questions are...
1. Can this spread after the plants are harvested, when they are hanging up drying? If so what is a good thing to stop it?
2. At day 49 should i consider taking them down early? Will it spread and cover and ruin the buds?
I have looked around to find the answers to these questions and failed, and so i hope nobody is displeased with me asking.
I have used Serende on and off the whole life ccle of these girls, and even started them off by spraying them with TOO much H202 when i put them into flower. That caused some leaf burn that i have been seeing the after effect of for all of the 49 days:thumbsup: Should have checked here first!
I also have used the SMC leaf wash about two weeks ago. I am afraid to spray now because i finally have colas that can be proud to be colas (except the mildew).
I hope that paints a clear picture of whats happening and may possibly inspire a discussion. Thanks folksallrollsin21 Reviewed by allrollsin21 on . powdery morning mil dew Hello folks. well if it's powder mildew just get advanced nutrients barricade.... it's a pottasium silicate... it is a high alkaline and will kill the pm in a week or two... feed it to the plant the barricade ( pottasium silicate") will seap threw the spores of the plant and stop further pm

I agree there use a sponge dude. Get urself 3 in 1 defender i spray every 2 weeks regardless of pm or not. Stuff is organic to soit wont fuck anything up...But once i have sizable mature buds i try and just whip the leaves with a sponge dipped in 3 and 1. Since i started treating havent had it come back. Silica supplements like Silica Blast help protect against the damage of mildew, among other things.
But treat the CAUSE, which is usually a large swing between night/day temps resulting in dewfall. If you are indoors, add a space heater for night.
SMC is safe to use during flower.
Serenade or another source of B. subtilis is also safe in flower.
Your drying room should not be humid enough to allow pm to keep forming. I'd hang in a room that has a/c and also some type of air purifier that is meant to reduce spores and allergens.

IDD i've gotta agree again with SA silica blast is the shiz. Didnt even think to mention it but if u get some SB and put it in a spray bottle that works good with treating the soil and along the stem. I've been using it of late with my plants in coco and it seems to at least protect for over a week or so. Never tried spraying it for PM though i'm not sure that would "FIX" ur prob thats more of a preventive then a fix. Seeing that PM is actually inside the plant, and once u see it the plant is fuct.Still u should be alright PM reduces yields and slows growth. It's all about the 3 in 1.

The hidden benefit of silicates is that they strengthen cell walls, and even if you have bugs or mold, they can do LESS damage.
I use it as a foliar too.

I give a final foliar of the stuff around week 3, before the buds get too bulky. Then if my temps are high, I'll give a FEEDING with the stuff at some later point- but as with everything, I really go light on it.
