Slugs,Mites and Deer
- No
- Hot pepper wax, coyote urine, moth balls, human hair, human piss, 'bird netting' or fishing line draped over the plants. There are a few options for this, and I would use a combination. Deer get freaked out by fishing line that they can't see. You can tie it to nearby trees or shrubs and make an invisible web.
- Slugs can be trapped with beer as bait. Google it- I'm not sure exactly what the trap is supposed to look like. Also, cutworm collars around your plants are worthwhile if you suspect an assortment of chewing critters.
- neem oil is a GREAT mite repellent and also prevents fungus.
