I think the wristbands work on a pressure point principle. They're certainly worth a shot, perhaps combined with an OTC medication and cannabis... I wish I could remember the name of the one I was told to use when I fished out of Dutch. I don't get seasick in anything less than 30 foot waves, lol, but the stuff worked FANTASTIC for the couple nasty storms I've gone though. Shoot.
Don't drink, bring dry bread or crackers, and a couple oranges to suck on in case you do get thirsty.

I love surfing, I love swimming, I love sailing (on lakes), but for some reason being on a boat on the ocean gets me sea sick if there are any waves at all (and there usually are waves on the open ocean). I'm talking severe nausea and vomiting. I've tried over-the-counter meds for sea-sickness (Dramamine, etc.) and none has ever worked. My father in law recently won a chartered ocean fishing trip.
