Here's how I do it, using Rapid Rooters which IMHO are the ideal cloning medium for a soil grower:

The reason I feel they're superior to RW or Jiffy pucks for soil growers is because of their ideal water retention properties, both during cloning, and also afterwards, when the plant is in soil. Jiffy pucks are pure peat, and hold a LOOOOOOT of water- personally, I don't like having something stuck around teh stem that can't dry out. Rockwool is chill if you leave a good chunk of it stickig above the soil surface to dry out. I FEAR stem rot, haha. Can ya tell? Don't forget to pre-soak and then squeeze dry your RW cubes, and at least squeeze the jiffys before use. They should be moist like a good brownie, not soggy.

I want to start cloning my plants in the next week or so and i plan to grow them in a soil environment, not hydrophonic....I have a few questions if you could please give me your insights: 1. If i were to use Rockwool to grow my clones, will i be able to transport the entire plant with the rockwool to a soil mixture? if yes, will i have to remove the rockwool or can I just plant the whole thing into good soil? 2. I'm also considering using Jiffy Pellets....will the same principle Rating: 5
