Flat Earth Society
I recently Googled the Flat Earth Society. Needless to say, I was speechless that people still believe in this stuff. Even more shocking was their Q and A's, which are simply just taking every question that anyone throws at them and claiming that either A) it's all part of a conspiracy or B) you're just wrong.
So, any Flat Earthers on here? What's your opinion?DaBudhaStank Reviewed by DaBudhaStank on . Flat Earth Society I recently Googled the Flat Earth Society. I thought it was a joke until I read their very detailed explanation for why the earth is flat. It boggles my mind, if youve ever flown anywhere you can blatantly see the curve of the earth.
Or perhaps planes are a lie and when you get in one its actually a simulator set on pistons to feel as if your moving around and all the windows are actually super high def monitors. While sealed inside they quickly refurbiush the airport so it looks as if youre at a new one. My god all the pieces are coming together!

I don't see what the problem is here, everybody knows that the world consists of a slightly convex disc (complete with edge-of-the-world drop-off and consequent waterfall) resting on the backs of four huge elephants which are in turn standing on the back of an enormous turtle, named Great A'Tuin, floating through space. However contrary to the beliefs of some religions the world is definitely more than 10,000 years old.

I thought it was a joke. Then I read further and thought it might be a joke. Then I read their forums, with pages upon pages of varried members debating the flat-Earth science... and I banged my head on the wall for a couple hours in honour of the human race.

This is some good stuff!
I still can't figure out if this is a spoof or not, but it's comical reading the disputes the "Flat Earthers" have with the "Round Earthers" in their forums. Here's a rendering of Earth from their FE perspective, found in their FAQs:
