Tricky Closet Dimensions for First Time Grower: 12' (or less) x 4' x 3-6.5' (varying)

Attached is a 2D picture of what it looks like when you open the door:

As far as the length goes (which you cannot see in the picture): The closet is over 12 feet long. It is a deep closet, and I don't plan on using all 12 feet, at least at first since this is my first grow. I'll probably block off 4-6 feet for the length (lets say 5'), so we're dealing with a 5' x 4' x 3-6.5' (varying height, see pic) area.

Should I...?:

a). Seal the grow area with some sort of hut/tent/box and give it it's own intake/outtake directly.

OR

b). Only surround just the grow area with some mylar-sided cardboard/sheets/plywood so the light doesn't get wasted in the 8 feet of unused closet. I.E., the grow area is not airtight from the rest of the closet, only light-tight.


Another thing I'd like some incite on is the slanted roof. It makes things tricky because I cannot just throw a pre-made tent in there (it won't fit). And I'd imagine the slanted roof might make things tricky with the lighting as well? I was thinking of a 400W HPS for 2-4 plants.


Basically, if you had this large closet with this crazy slanted roof, what would you do with it?

whats above the slant roof? does is go to attic? are you worried about smell? does i need to be stealth?

The roof of the house is above the slant roof. I can hear it rain from inside the closet.

Smell won't be an issue, I got that covered.

Get TWO lights in there, equal distances apart, throw in some fans and grow as much weed as you can my friend.

I would grow horizontally in there, utilizing the length of the closet.

make sure to line the walls with either white poly tarp, mylar, flat white, etc.

can you cut holes for intake / exhaust?

or cut that space into two pieces. the side with the limited height (3 ft) use for for vegging and cloning, the large side use for flowering...

but hey that closet has lots of options, you can grow anywhere, like a pc case, w/ proper training, and of course circulation, care, etc.
