Don't remove the leaves unless they drop off with jsut a touch.
Add drain holes to the sides of your pot using a power drill with a 1/2" paddle bit. It's not the excess water that kills plants. It's insufficient oxygen to their roots.

I cut off the leaves that were dead, in hopes of saving my tree. Don't know the outcome yet, but one thing is for sure, i defiently slowed down the growing cycle. So, my question is, If I cut say 75% of my major leaves off, will it surive on the idea that the remaining leaves left can support the structure of the tree as it phaze's during a flowering cycle?
