Smoking during a cold

Ok, I've been feeling sick and coughing up a lot of mucus lately. I've been taking some meds for chest congestion and such. Although the coughing gives me major headaches so I was trying to do some smoking to get rid of them and help me go to sleep.

My question is, does being sick affect the amount of THC my lungs are able to absorb? Would it be possible that the mucus I'm coughing up is coating my lungs to an extent that prevents me from getting the high that I'm used to?

I'm not sure if that's what the problem is or not, so I've actually stopped smoking till at least I feel better. I'll probably go without my own till my plants are ready to harvest. Probably a month to go. So by then not, only should I be feeling better but some of the THC currently in my system should have a decent amount of time to work it's way out. I've been smoking almost every day for a little over a year, so I'm thinking it might just be my tolerance now.

Just thought I'd come on here and ask since I know there are plenty of intelligent cannabis smokers that frequent the site. I would make some capsules, but I've screwed up the last few batches and I want to wait till I harvest so I have a decent amount to work with instead of just an over-priced eighth that doesn't seem too potent.

I dont think that the mucus would inhibit thc absorption, but im no doctor. Maybe it is the tolerance like you said, but if you quit for a few days after smoking everyday for a year, and then smoke, you should get really stoned. Quitting for a few days after everyday smoking over an extended period can make quite a difference. I stopped for 4 days after smoking everyday for 2 years give or take a while. After taking 2 tokes I was on my ass.

Ive been/was smoking 3 years now, for the first year 2grams on a weekend got me fukked, the 2nd year i smoked about 4 grams throughout the whole week, which got me fukked, then in the last year i smoked everyday and i stopped getting high n i just wanted more and more weed (i live in england and weed has gone DOWNHILL trust me its full or glass and other kinds of shit or its either been harvested 4weeks early)

so i stopped 6month ago n ive just started growing (i love weed to much but i hated the shit i was gettin)

so it could be your tolerance or either the weed, or its likely to be both so i think im doing what your doing just waiting till my bud has grown den smoking mah own shit , so just stop smoking until u harvest yours den you know for sure if its your tolerence, or if its the weed ur getin. PEACE.

Keeron, your story sounds just like mine. I used to be able to make an eight last almost a month. Now I can have that sucker gone in a week no problem. I've even cut back on smoking earlier in the day, yet I still used more weed.

Every time I check on my plants (which is usually every few hours) those buds seem like they've grown a little more. It's pretty awesome. Good luck on your grow.
