Questions about PCC/Oxidants
Deige, and Killerweed420,
I know you folks are on your A game so i want to ask you guys this question. I ran some tests i.e. integrity strips on the QF i bought and it seems they show abnormal on the PCC/Oxidant portion of the strip. I am literaly freaking out. I did post for the pre-employment testing and you guys did give me comfort...but my own mind is my own enemy at this point. Any ideas or thoughts....just concerned the MRO will call and say, "hey your sample was adulterated".. thanks again.
I did look around and found some folks had the same intergrity strip results but NEVER posted back with thier final test results from the LAB thanks again. (dont want to sound like a littly baby).

Questions about PCC/Oxidants
please let us know what you find out - that is concerning.
i thought qf was essentially the same thing as a control used to calibrate on UA?
if so, wouldn't it come back as the same level as the control - but maybe i am wrong
also let us know how your gc/ms turned out

Questions about PCC/Oxidants
Either way I will inform the outcome. As stated before I did read some folks had the same problem. Again Deige...your responses are always appreciated.

Questions about PCC/Oxidants
C/P from another forum:
BACKGROUND: In vitro adulterants are used to invalidate assays for urine drugs of abuse. The present study examined the effect of pyridinium chlorochromate (PCC) found in the product "Urine Luck". METHODS: PCC was prepared and added to positive urine controls at concentrations of 0, 10, 50, and 100 g/L. The controls were assayed for methamphetamine, benzoylecgonine (BE), codeine and morphine, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), and phencyclidine (PCP) with the Emit II (Syva) and Abuscreen Online (Roche) immunoassays, and by gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). Two tests were also developed to detect PCC in urine: a spot test to detect chromate ions using 10 g/L 1,5-diphenylcarbazide as the indicator, and a GC/MS assay for pyridine. We tested 150 samples submitted for routine urinalysis, compliance, and workplace drug testing for PCC, using these assays. RESULTS: Response rates decreased at 100 g/L PCC for all Emit II drug assays and for the Abuscreen morphine and THC assays. In contrast, the Abuscreen amphetamine assay produced apparently higher results, and no effect was seen on the results for BE or PCP. The PCC did not affect the GC/MS recovery of methamphetamine, BE, PCP, or their deuterated internal standards, but decreased GC/MS recovery of the opiates at both intermediate (50 g/L) and high (100 g/L) PCC concentrations and apparent concentrations of THC and THC-d3 at all PCC concentrations. Two of 50 samples submitted for workplace drug testing under chain-of-custody conditions were positive for PCC, whereas none of the remaining 100 specimens submitted for routine urinalysis or compliance drug testing were positive. CONCLUSIONS: PCC is an effective adulterant for urine drug testing of THC and opiates. Identification of PCC use can be accomplished with use of a spot test for the oxidant.
So the PCC is just an adulerant used in detox kits to help mask thc metabolites. It won't be in any synthetic urine like QuickFix.

Questions about PCC/Oxidants
Thanks Killerweed420...first time subbing...1000th time freaking out... I did read that post you added thanks...my only concern was those damn strips I bought showed a light blue which indicated "PCC/Oxidents". What I gather, is if by any chance the labs "dipsticks" show then it will be confirmed with a gc/ms and (I agree with you 100% there is nothing to adulterate since it is synthetic) will show no such thing. Just freaked man thats all... same song and dance you guys hear over and over...

Questions about PCC/Oxidants
i hear you. i'm not even scheduled yet (more time to freak out and obsess and read and reread shit), but i suppose time is my friend.
so unfair to be so freaked out over a one time indulgence, but i have it in my head that the c/o will be 20ng, and i am leary about that.
and they claim weed makes you paranoid.
