Hi greenthing and bozo

mmmm, yeah I got a couple sites bookmarked that were taken from the overgrow's FAQ. I used to read them over and over and over again even before overgrow fell, so I have almost no questions to ask about growing cannabis. A few pop up in my head from time to time but I either can find the answer for myself, or the question is too complicated to be answered by most people.... just the kinds of things that need to be tried and tested to see if it works or not.
I've found it much easier to just clear the mind and remember: it's just like any other plant. Feed it light, water, nutrients, and most importantly LOVE. Luckily for us it's already such a strong plant to cultivate.
I have no idea what strain I grew. It took soooooo much abuse and neglect, enough to make any other plant die with no chance of survival.... and I still got a little over 4 ounces from one 4' tall plant, topped several times, under a 400W HPS (4 seems to be the repetitive number here lol). I was doing it in DWC too.\"There\'s no right, there\'s no wrong, there\'s only popular opinion.\" - 12 Monkeys.

Hey GreenDestiny sounds like you are one step ahead alreadyI have almost no questions to ask about growing cannabis. Yes its a hard plant to kill, and the more love and care you give them the better they will reward you.I've found it much easier to just clear the mind and remember: it's just like any other plant. Things can only get better with experience.:thumbsup:I have no idea what strain I grew. I used to have some pictures, but sadly I lost nearly all of them. It was a couple years ago that I did my growing. I had a rubbermaid tub that held 12 gallons of water; an extremely simple DWC setup. Had a couple of cheap air pumps attached to two 5" airstones from wallyworld. Couple fans for blowing air around in/out of the closet. Used GH's FloraNova grow and bloom. PH was always crazy as hell cause I had those liquid testers.... actually I had two liquid PH testers and they both gave me completely different readings! I just gave up trying to adjust ph up and down and just left it alone and stopped checking it. I also had a Bluelab Truncheon, which I really didn't need but it didn't hurt of course.
I really really wish I still had some pics to show, but I did find some pictures of the final product. Hmmm.... I haven't gotten 50 posts yet here so I dunno how I could post them. Here's the photobucket url's for a few pics of the buds:
this one was almost 5 grams:

one ounce:

Oh yeah, I also forgot to mention that it was all mediumless from seed to harvest.
What I did was scrape the seeds a bit with a razor because they were really thick and tough. The soaked them in a cup of RO water with Superthrive until they popped and then put them into a damp paper towel until the sprouts were several inches long. Then I put the best looking ones into a tiny plastic container that I'd made into a mini bubble bucket, still with just plain water with superthrive. Once they were about to outgrow the mini bubbler, I moved them to the 12 gallon res and started with 1/3 strength nutes. I was using those styrofoam pool noodles to support the base of the seedlings.
I ended up only keeping one of the plants which was the best female of the group. The strangest thing happened too... when it was a newborn in the minibubbler I accidentally bumped it, completely cutting it in half about an inch below the cotyldons! I thought it would immediately die but i left it sitting in the bubbler and like a miracle it started to grow new roots just like a clone would! I'm glad I kept it and nursed it back to health, it gave me some damn good buds as you can see!\"There\'s no right, there\'s no wrong, there\'s only popular opinion.\" - 12 Monkeys.
