hey hey
I guess it's finally time to start posting. Hello Cannabis.com!
Well, I have at least a couple of medical conditions, such as Crohn's and life-long insomnia, from which I could greatly benefit from the use of medical marijuana. But, of course, I live in a state that does not allow it... yet. It doesn't stop me from trying to find some when I can but holy crap the quality of it in my part of the country is terrible! Sure, I can find some that is a small step up from the brick shwag, but it still pales in comparison to top quality stuff.
I've had a couple of successful grows, but it's been a long time since I did that. Until I can continue where I left off, I keep the knowledge fresh in my mind by reading through various mj forums.
This is an awesome site! I hope it never gets shut down like overgrow.
heheheh, just took a quick look at the messageboard rules and I am confused about a few things....
no posting of things that are off topic, right? But there's an entire section devoted to "interests and off topic"? maybe they forgot to change the rules after creating it and say that off topic posts are totally ok ONLY if they are posted in the right sections.
And of course racism is not allowed here. Racism sucks!
But there is one form of prejudice that I have noticed here - speciesism. It is like a prejudice against other animals. Not sure what I'm talking about? Animals are part of nature, and plants are part of nature. A lot of animals eat plants, it's just natural. But the discussion of animals eating a certain kind of plant is forbidden on the forum. Why would it be forbidden here to talk about an animal's natural desire to consume cannabis if it actively wants to? Despite the laws created by humans, what's wrong with an animal's right to freely eat any plant that it wants to eat for its own medicinal benefit?
Just because there are people out there trying to get animals high against their own will (which is very wrong!), it means that the rest of us can't have an intelligent discussion about the right of EVERY living creature to persue its own desires within the reasonable bounds of safety?
If we are to explore every aspect of the medicinal values of marijuana, then animals, such as pets, should not be excluded. It could even be helpful to include other animals in the fight to legalize marijuana... the more of us there are that need it, the better our chances of getting it, right?
But don't worry about me, I will obey the rules of the forum and not discuss it.
I'm NOT saying that the rules are wrong, nor am I expressing any anger. Just simply making a logical point, no worries, it's just part of this introduction so that you (the reader) can get to know me and understand me better... that IS the whole point of me posting right here, yes?

i don't know man, i'm new here too and i posted an intro yesterday morning and so far, no responses. even so, there is plenty of useful info here, you just have to dig for it. btw, i have most of Overgrow's faq that i leached off another site so i can check it for ya and post any answers to your questions from it and also from my own limited experience
also, i think people don't want thier animals eating thier stash, i don't think it's because anyone feels animals don't have the right to eat what they want
