Just wanted to address the myth that Ron Paul wants to legalize cannabis.

He wants to get the federal government out of it and leave it up to the states. That's not legalizing by a long shot.

Fishman: That's so stupid how could an educated person know such things like no weapons of mass destruction and no connection to 9/11. It's not so much as a matter of education but rather how far up the political latter you are. Of course no common person would know that even if they were a genious because the government attempts to supress information like that. You have to be high ranking to know such a thing so when the common person such as you or me hears from the President that there are weapons of mass destruction more than likely you're gonna take his word for it and even if you're smart and skeptical of it how the hell could you find out anyway? I mean it seemed plausible that he would have weapons considering the fact that he was a ruthless dicator and considering the fact that the suicide hijackers were middle eastern and the fact that Suddam hates America for the gulf war it seems like it could have been likely. So really us not knowing about all the shenanigans bush made up isn't a matter of not being educated but rather a matter of being ignorant.

And as for Nailhead....

I'm not saying we should feel better because we're not alone in it I'm just pointing out that every government is bad ever since the begining and its not fair to explicitedly say that America's the bad guy. Everyone's the bad guy. And as far as Rockefeller goes....I wasn't talking about his children, I was talking about J.D Rockefeller the guy who went from a middle class family to being one of the richest man in America. That was education buddy.

Dream even i knew that there were no links to al quada and saddam and he had no nukes,if i knew then a hell of alot more government offiacials should of known including the senators who voted in favor of this war....The reason i knew is because i looked at all the bullshit the bushies were throwing out and looked at the facts and informed myself.There were alot of credible people who were saying that what the bushies were saying were not true and i tended to believe them.But ignorance and stupidity go hand in hand do they not?

You are probably thinking of Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr., 1888-1969. Kennedy engaged in bootlegging during prohibition, and made a fortune from it, but he was well established in the world of business and politics before that. The Kennedy fortune was (is) immense, but nowhere near that of the Rockefeller family.

anybody know if and when Congressman Paul's bill to reign in the loco federalies is going for a vote on the floor? hope to be tuned in to CSPAN that day. my rep probably won't vote for it but if he doesn't i won't be voting for him in Nov. :S1:

It's still languishing in committee so who knows when/if it will come up for a vote before summer recess. They tend to let these things die in committee instead of actually debating the merits of the bill.

That is because the United States House Committee on Rules is majority democrat.
